UHI’s Salina Office is located in the Kansas State University Technical Center building on the east side of Salina Airport at 2310
Centennial Rd. UHI provides flight and ground training under Part 91 and Part 141 to both Kansas State and non Kansas State University students.
Salina Airport at 1288 ft above mean sea level has four runways and is a Tower Controlled airport in Class D airspace operating 24 hours a day. There
are excellent local training areas for helicopters both on and off the airport.
For instrument students, the airport boasts a ground based Instrument Landing System, a VORTAC to the north with a VOR approach, and 4 separate
GPS based approaches with a local Air Traffic Approach and Departure Control supporting the Salina local Air Traffic Control Tower.
