Since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center 9/11/2001 the US Department of Homeland Security - Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) requires that before any flight training is given, a Security Threat Assessment is made to ensure that you are not a threat to US aviation or national security. We can assist you to navigate this process.
We are approved to provide qualified students with assistance to obtain M1 training Visas (SEVIS I-20).
We do not train for JAA Certificates although we have a JAA Helicopter Flight Instructor on staff who can help with conversion and training questions.
We have knowledgeable, dedicated staff with extensive lending institution contacts to assist US students obtain loan financing for their helicopter training.
College Degree Programs for Associates and Bachelors programs in conjunction with Utah Valley State College.
Introductory Flights. We offer two R22 flights, an "Introductory" 20 minutes ground
and a 20 minute flight for $146 plus tax, and a "First Flight" 1 hour ground and a 1 hour flight for $315 plus tax. During each
introductory flight you will be on the controls for a major part of the time. In addition, before the
flight, you will spend time with your instructor to understand the operation and effect of the controls, and after the flight,
will have the opportunity to sit down and review the flight and cover any questions you might have. The flight

WHAT IS THE GLOBAL AVIATION DEGREE PROGRAM?
It is the distance-learning provider for the Utah Valley State College
(UVSC).
It is an accredited college degree program, which allows you to complete all
of your courses on-line after you receive your flight training.
UNIVERSAL HELICOPTERS provides your Helicopter Flight Training.
G.A.D.P has Regional Accreditation.
Students that are part of the UVSC Global Aviation Degree Program will have
the same access to student services as students attending classes at the Utah
campus. This includes job placement, recommendations, career counseling,
graduation assistance and financial aid.
HOW DOES THE G.A.D.P. WORK?
First you will complete all of your flight training for your Private, Instrument, Commercial, Instructor & Instrument
Instructor certificates and ratings.This will take approximately 6-12 months depending the students ability and the amount
of time and effort applied.
Next, you may begin working as a professional helicopter instructor while completing your remaining courses on-line.
Starting wages approx $23 to $28 per hour.
Your helicopter ratings can apply towards your total credit hours.
